Enjoy Bora Bora's tropical climate and friendly locals

Bora Bora is a relaxed and friendly place, where the locals are hospitable and always greet you with a smile. The climate is tropical and because of the cool sea breeze, it is never uncomfortably hot.

The sun shines all year around, with the odd rainy day. The highest temperatures are between December and March (around 30°C/85°F), with the rest of the year being a little cooler and less humid.

Dress standard on the island is casual. Cotton and light clothes are recommended all year around. A sweater or light jacket might be useful in the evenings, especially when the wind picks up. A lightweight raincoat can also be handy in case of showers.

There is a post office and ATM machine on at Vaitape. The currency of French Polynesia is the French Pacific Franc

The hotel has currency exchange facilities for Euro, US$, Yen, AUS$ and NZ$. Major credit cards are accepted, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and JCB

Tipping is not common in French Polynesian. Smiling and a good attitude towards the local people are much more appreciated. This is the best way to encourage and preserve our tradition of hospitality.
